Retiring Dogs

Retiring Dogs

We like to retire our mamas around 6 years old to their own forever family.

Because we are a small breeder and only have a few Mama dogs, this is rare.

But it is occasionally available.

Contact us at rosiespupsmn@gmail.com to find out more.

An application and phone interview is required to discuss a retiring dog.

Is a Retired Dog Right For You?

Our retired momma dogs are wonderful companions. They would fit well in homes where their person works from home and/or is retired.  Good news; an older dog generally doesn't need to potty near as often as a puppy; neither do they have the same amount of energy!  We are happy to have a phone interview when deciding if a retired dog is right for you as they each have their own personality and home types they would be honored best in.

Responsible Breeding

Part of our breeding philosophy is to honor our Momma dogs with the same integrity as our puppies!  We see our dogs thrive when they're caring for their pups... wag, smile and love our daily interactions, and always look forward to snuggle time with one another. Each Momma dog has always lived right in our home with us and we want them to continue to have a very full and well loved life.

When you adopt a retired breeding dog from Rosies Pups, you can expect a dog that has been well-socialized, trained, and cared for throughout their breeding career. Our parent dogs have spent their lives in a nurturing home environment, surrounded by love and attention, and are known for their gentle and affectionate nature.

One of the benefits of adopting a retired breeding dog is that they often have a wealth of training and obedience skills. They have already gone through the necessary training processes, making them well-behaved and obedient companions. This can be particularly appealing for individuals or families who prefer to skip the puppy stage and enjoy the benefits of a mature and settled dog.   When considering adopting a retired breeding dog, it is important to understand that each dog is unique. We provide detailed information about each momma dog, ensuring transparency and enabling you to make an informed decision.
