Puppy Supplies
We will send you home with a 5 day supply of this puppy food. If you want to change the brand of food, please wait for at least 3 weeks after coming home with you new puppy. Then only do so gradually, over the course of 7 days.
Collars are not safe for Mini Cavapoos, because their necks can be easily injured. Instead we use a dog harness. Each brand is sized differently ,but our puppies usually fit best in size XXS. The puppies tend to be 2.5 - 3.5 lbs when they go home.
CRATE TRAINING
We do not crate train pups here as they are together with Momma dog and siblings. However, we highly recommend crate training for sleeping. Using a crate with a divider panel is especially helpful as you can expand the space as your puppy grows. Initially, pups only need enough space to comfortably lay down. This helps them with potty training only outside the crate/sleeping area. It's helpful for the dog to be able to safely sleep in a crate for a future dog sitter, or when traveling together.
CHEW TOYS
We provide these toys to teach the pups to chew on toys, instead of other things. Puppies are teething. We discourage playful chewing on fingers or any other items in order to create good long-term habits.
